During Weeks 4 and 5 of Trimester 2 in the 2025/26 academic year, UGM Manchester hosted its Employability Fortnight, a two-week programme dedicated to helping students enhance their career readiness and develop key employability skills.
Week 4: Building Employability Skills
The first week focused on developing essential soft skills and employability competencies. A series of interactive sessions were delivered by our in-house academics and sessional lecturers, covering a range of topics designed to prepare students for the modern workplace. These sessions aimed to strengthen students’ professional skills, confidence, and understanding of employer expectations.
Week 5: Learning from Industry Experts
During the second week, we welcomed a range of guest speakers from industry and partner organisations, who shared valuable insights, practical advice, and real-world experiences with our students.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our guest speakers and partners for sharing their expertise and inspiring our students.
