Celebrating Success at UGM Manchester
UGM Manchester recently welcomed students, staff and guests for two special awards evenings celebrating academic success, professional development and commitment.
The Top Achievers and Employability Bronze Awards ceremonies brought together students from across our Foundation and Undergraduate degree pathways. Recipients were invited to celebrate alongside their families, friends and academics.

The Top Achievers and Employability Bronze Awards ceremonies brought together students from across our Foundation and Undergraduate degree pathways. Recipients were invited to celebrate alongside their families, friends and academics.
Students who earned an Employability Bronze Award were also recognised for their participation in Employability Fortnight. Through workshops, activities and employer-led sessions, students developed valuable skills in areas including confidence, communication, collaboration, adaptability and career planning.
Celebrating with family and friends
Students were joined by the family members, friends and supporters who have encouraged them throughout their studies. Guests watched the presentations, took photographs and celebrated with recipients in a welcoming environment.
The evenings were organised by Student Experience Officer Dominic Meekin, who said:
“It is always a very rewarding and positive experience to host the Student Award Evening. The opportunity to recognise and reward Students for their Top performance in their module results, as well as their engagement with extracurricular activities and workshops, will always be a highlight of the UGM Trimester. We look forward to seeing new nominees for our various rewards in future events.”
We would like to thank Dominic for organising both ceremonies and helping to create a memorable experience for students and their guests.
Catering from Nyammings
Guests also enjoyed food prepared by Nyammings Catering, founded by UGM Manchester Health and Social Care student Kevin.
Kevin has developed his catering business alongside his studies and has engaged with the UGM Manchester Enterprise Hub to build his confidence, professional network and business knowledge. Having Nyammings cater the events was another opportunity to showcase the talent and entrepreneurial ambition within our student community.
