Work Towards the UGM Manchester Bronze Award
Attending Employability Fortnight sessions can contribute towards the UGM Manchester Bronze Award.
The Bronze Award recognises students who take part in activities that support their personal and professional development. By attending sessions during Employability Fortnight, you can build evidence of your engagement and demonstrate your commitment to developing skills beyond the classroom.
This is a valuable way to strengthen your CV, reflect on your progress and show future employers that you have taken active steps to prepare for your career.
Employability Awards Ceremony
Students who successfully complete our Employability Schemes are invited to attend a special Employability Awards Ceremony.
This celebratory event recognises their dedication and commitment to becoming industry-ready professionals. Award recipients receive certificates and gifts during an evening celebration with refreshments.
Previous Employability Fortnights
Previous Employability Fortnights have included a wide range of workshops, staff-led sessions and employer activities designed to support students across different courses and career stages.
Students have taken part in sessions focused on collaboration, adaptability, resilience, job searching, CV development and industry awareness. The programme has also welcomed external organisations and guest speakers, giving students the opportunity to hear directly from professionals and learn more about the world of work.
