These sessions focus on developing essential soft skills, enhancing employability awareness, and providing valuable real-world industry insights to inspire and motivate our students.
Employability Schemes
We offer our exclusive Employability Bronze, Silver, and Gold Schemes, designed to encourage students to participate in a diverse range of professional development activities.
These structured programmes enable students to enhance their skills, broaden their experiences, and strengthen their employability profile.
Employability Awards Ceremony
Students who successfully complete our Employability Schemes are invited to attend a special Employability Awards Ceremony.
This celebratory event recognises their dedication and commitment to becoming industry-ready professionals. Award recipients receive certificates and gifts during an evening celebration with refreshments.
Voice of Experience
Our Employability Team actively builds strong relationships with companies, organisations, and charities of all sizes.
Through these partnerships, we support students in securing internships, employment opportunities, and volunteering placements.
We regularly invite guest speakers from our partner organisations to deliver workshops and industry talks both during and beyond Employability Fortnight. These sessions are tailored to specific degree programmes as well as open to all UGM Manchester students.
Enterprise Hub
Our Enterprise Hub supports students who are already running a business or those aspiring to start their own venture.
We deliver workshops, mentoring sessions, and practical guidance for students with entrepreneurial ambitions.
Through collaborations with Business Growth Hub companies, we connect our students with external partners to support business development and potential acceleration opportunities.
