Graduation 2026: Celebrating a Historic Milestone

On Wednesday 21 October 2026, UGM Manchester proudly celebrated its first-ever graduation ceremony at Manchester Hall, marking a significant milestone in our history.
The special occasion brought together graduates, their families and friends, fellow students, academics and staff to recognise the hard work, dedication and achievements of our Class of 2026.
The ceremony featured a special address from Dr Greg Walker, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Greater Manchester, who joined us to recognise the achievements of our graduates and celebrate this significant milestone for UGM Manchester. The occasion also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the support and encouragement of the academics, staff, families and friends who have played an important role throughout our graduates' studies.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the Vote of Thanks delivered by graduate Yucet da Costa. Yucet reflected on the challenges of balancing higher education with work, family life and other personal commitments, highlighting the determination, resilience and sacrifices involved in completing a degree.

The speech resonated with the experiences of many of our graduates, recognising that every academic journey is unique and that achieving a qualification often involves overcoming challenges along the way. It served as a reminder of the dedication and perseverance behind each graduate's success.
